Jodock's Adventure to the Heartland! travel blog

Folks in Wisconsin know how to make travelers smile!

Our campsite at Kamp Komfort!

"Okay, kids. Put your wet suits on before playing on the swings!"

I didn't know realize how artistic farmers can be.

This guy was hoppy to see us at our camp site!

WILD ANIMAL UPDATE: This morning we saw our first black bear right next to the side of road! That’s the good news, but the bad news was, it was dead! A State Trooper kept traffic from stopping, but today’s sightings included several dozen deer, a dog, and a dozen other unidentifiables!

Yesterday we washed both the motor home and the car. We jokingly told another camper that if it rains tomorrow it’s our fault. It rained cats and dogs this morning when we left at 6:30 AM. Throughout the day we went in and out of rain showers finally stopping at Kamp Komfort in Carlock, Illinois. We must admit we wanted warmer weather but 90 degrees with 90 percent humidity is NOT fun! After cleaning the windshield a shower is needed afterwards. After walking over to the showers, Jim knew he would need another one by the time he got back.

Tomorrow we head to Bloomington, Indiana to attended Karen Kingsbury’s Baxter Family Reunion at Indiana University. We not sure exactly what to expect, but we are looking forward to finding out! So stay tuned to see what really does take place!!!!
