We had a nice easy ride to Lake City this morning. We were in no rush and we spent a good part of the trip on the back roads. Florida and Texas have the best secondary roads in the country and it is nice to get on them and avoid the tension of the interstates.
Doug had a nice father's day after the drive. He went upstairs and watch the World Cup game between Ivory Coast and Brazil. It was hard to know whether Brazil made IC look bad or if IC wilted in face of the favorites. It got rough towards the end so that may have been the case.
He also received calls from Tim and Suzy. Daughter Susanne is enroute home from Portugal where she spent a month with her in-laws who spoil the grandchildren enough for both sides of the family. (They bought them a horse for their annual visit)
Tomorrow we will continue to take secondary roads to Titusville. We are in no hurry and the trip is not that long so we might as well enjoy the scenery. This was one of the hardest things to learn to do when we started full-timing; to relax and enjoy the trip.
