FRD resting at the reindeer station

Judy and FRD sipping ale

country store in Weston

We explored Ludlow and Weston today, both quaint little towns in central Vermont. Flat Rev. Don joined us for lunch at Bryant House Restaurant in Weston. We shared a Bryant House Ale Draft, a local ale that is VERY good, and some of the best New England Clam Chowder we have ever eaten. Afterwards FRD asked if he could rest at the Reindeer Hitching Post in front of the Christmas House. On the way home from Weston, we almost ran over a wild turkey (not the kind we love to drink), but the real thing. I don't know who was more frightened, me as driver of the Solara or that poor bird. At any rate, we got a good look at him and he had the good sense to turn around and run like h___. We have spent the evening planning the rest of our stay. There is so-o-o-o- much to do and see. Vermont is ABSOLUTELY beautiful. It was about 80 degrees today, but with very low humidity -- a great convertible drive to Weston from here.
