Travels with Holly - The Big One travel blog

We had a 150 mile drive this afternoon. Unfortunately it was very windy and unpleasant. The direction of the wind is important as much as the velocity. If the wind is coming at your broadside, which it was today, it is very unpleasant.

We're stopped just over the state line in North Dakota at an Indian Casino. They have full hookups and the cost is only $10. We are relaxing and looking forward to the wind subsiding which will happen when the sun goes down at 9 p.m.

Tomorrow we are going to cut the southeast corner of North Dakota and head for the Twin Cities. We'll be able to put North Dakota and Minnesota on our map which will leave Iowa, Missouri and Wisconsin to go. (We've already been to states from Illinois to the east.

I"m feeling good about what we are accomplishing but also a bit sad that the end of this terrific experience is in sight.
