Leg #1 is now completed! We made it all the way to Buffalo today; it was a long drive, but I'm glad we decided to drive that kind of distance on the first day while we were still fresh. Hope behaved well in the car because all of her toys and books were new to her. Tomorrow, I'm afraid, may not go as well.
Wildlife sightings for today:
2 turkeys in Dayton, ME
1 naked dude on top of an abandoned box truck, drinking a beer and sunning himself - along the highway in MA/NY area
dead deer - on side of the highway in New York state
No photos for today. We stopped only long enough to go to the bathroom and grab a bite to eat. Photos should start coming tomorrow.
