I guess I need to catch you up on our summer in the Rockies.

First, I want to thank all of you who wrote with such kind comments about the Grand Canyon story. I appreciate it so much as it inspires me to continue my writing efforts.

We have had a very nice couple of days, here at Mountaindale.

On Tuesday, RV-Dreams friends, Bob & Lynda, drove over from their summer location in Howard, Colorado, to join us for lunch at Adam’s Mountain Café in Manitou Springs.

We enjoyed our time with these good friends, as we caught up on the “happenings” of our lives since we last saw each other in the Rio Grande Valley.

Marilyn & I spent a quiet evening after we returned to the resort.

Last night we slept with the windows open and enjoyed the light, cool breeze coming in the open windows all night.

We awoke after 6:30 this morning but were outdoors with fresh, hot coffee, sitting beside the campfire, by a few minutes after 7:00.

Once the coffee was finished off, we took a walk of nearly 2 ½ miles.

We grabbed something cold to drink and sat outdoors resting when we returned, enjoying the wonderful temperatures, low humidity (20%), the blue skies, and the wonderful breeze.

We laughed as we talked about how much we love it here.

We asked each other, “What is there to like about being here, other than the awesome weather, great scenery, and total relaxation?” LOL

We did mention to each other that it would be nice to have our kids and grandkids close by, so that we could see them every couple of days.

We are spending a lot of time with just the two of us, and we have enjoyed that also, even though we do enjoy our time with friends.

We have some pictures to share with you, so I will post those tonight, as long as our internet service continues to operate as it is at this moment.

With that, I’ll wrap this up and get busy with the pictures.

We plan to put a couple of steaks on the grill for dinner, and to spend another quiet night in the company of “just us”.

Aaaah……….It is true that………Life is Good!
