|So you read in Day 1 that we had quite the start to our morning, with some water on the floor in the camper. But, thankfully as we got up, the rain magically stopped. It never really cleared up for almost the entire trip, and it was quite dreary looking, but it only rained on and off a few times. The days trip was quite pleasant, other than the lack of sleep.
Our travels for the day began in Topeka, through to Nebraska City, Omaha, Sioux City, Sioux Falls, SD, Watertown, SD, Fargo, ND and into Jamestown, ND where we spent the night. All in all, the day was pretty uneventful. We were tired and bored and it seemed the only thing we could do to fill those voids was to eat...and eat...and eat.
Our campground was small, quaint, clean, fairly full and is a campground simular to one we would have grown up with. It wasn't bare, like most RV parks, but was surrounded and covered with trees. The ground wasn't paved and was gravel, just like we know. But because we were super tired, we went for a small walk, walked the dogs a bit, played with them, had supper and were in bed by 9:00 pm.
The sleep was great! All dogs were in their kennels, there was no storm and both of us slept through until the alarm went off at 5:15 am. Thus, day 3 began....
