| Von der slowenischen Hauptstadt gings per Zug nach ca. 3 Wochen unsrer Reise endlich ans Meer. Nach Koper mit seinem schoen erhaltenem venezianischen Hauptplatz und dem fuer Slowenien so wichtigen Hafen, auf der nur ca. 40km langen Kueste des Landes. Ideal als Zwischenstop vor der abendlichen Weiterfahrt in unsre naechste Destination, dem idyllisch gelegenen, wirklich wunderschoenen, fast schon als Klein-Venedig ohne Touristenmassen zu bezeichnenden Piran. From the slovenian capital we carried on to Koper, the country's important port city with its beautiful old-town core in typical venetian style, showing off the grandeurs of past 15th/16th century times, when Koper, amongst it's more beautiful sister and rival city of Piran, belonged to the then independent state of Venice. Koper is an ideal stopover before carrying on to the above mentioned small versioned Venice without the masses, that is Piran. |
