Our first morning in Florida...nice temps

Orbit RV Park, Grant, Florida We left Lake City arount 9:20 AM. We stopped in a town just east of Jacksonville for gas & breakfast. There was a little restaurant named "The Swamp". It was just a neighborhood grill & bar....but what a great breakfast buffet. The food was so good and the people were so friendly, it was such luck for us to find this place. We have been so lucky with the weather so far too. It was a beautiful day today....sunny & warm. We arrived in Grant, FL around 3:30 PM. Orbit RV Park has some of the nicest people. We were hardly in the drive and one of the managers was out helping out and telling us to wait until tomorrow to check in..."Just relax for today". Our neighbor came over when we got Sheena & Queeny out of the truck...she introduced herself to us and the animals. We really like the area and this park. It is small without too many RVs. We have WiFi and cable and there is a laundry here even though it is a small park. I've noticed a sign for activities offered during the week but haven't had a chance to check that out yet.There are grassy spaces and small neat patios with tables. The spaces could be a little bigger, I guess, but they are much nicer then a lot we have seen ;-/ The location is wonderful...we are across a 4 lane road (Hwy 1) and a small patch of land from the Indian River. The small property across the road is owned by Orbit RV and they have a dock there for our use. |
