| We've spent the last couple of weeks just touring Galveston, visiting the Flight Museum, the Ocean Star Oil Rig Museum, Kemah Boardwalk and Seawolf Island. One afternoon we took the ferry over to Bolivar Peninsula. They seem to be taking longer to recover from hurricane Ike. There's still a lot of damaged homes and building that haven't been replaced or repaired. We went to Moody Gardens golf course a couple of weeks ago and ended up only playing 9 holes because it was so windy. We decided to try again on March 26. It was a nice course only problem was our scores. I really wanted to see the movie Last Song. I couldn't talk Gene into going with me so I ended up going by myself. I don't think I've ever been to a movie solo before. It wasn't so bad and it sure was cheaper on popcorn! After a couple of weeks of just playing tourist and babysitting for a week, I decided it was time to pamper myself a bit. Maddie and I had a pedicure while she was visiting but I needed a massage so I went to the spa down the street for a massage and a hair cut. I feel all brand new! |
