We left Friday night meeting Roger and Leslie at the Stage Stop for dinner. Drove on to the Rodeo grounds in Hailey arriving well after dark. Found hookups and pens for the horses and settled in for the night. It's supposed to snow and be bad weather tomorrow, but we're here anyway.
Next morning was chilly, but we came to rope. No snow, but blustery conditions. The good news is the rodeo arena is enclosed so not too bad. They decided to do a round robin where everybody ropes with everybody. 6 teams so you rope fast and often. I had a particularly bad day, or rather my horses did. Seems Rojo didn't want to get into the box and after much proding I decided to use Roy. Unfortunately, my saddle which is set up for Tio was much too loose for him. He bucked almost every run and I finally gave up with 1 run to go. I had had it anyway. Beer-thirty. We went to the Lodge and drank whiskey, then to the Pioneer for dinner. Lori took 138 pictures with her new Nikon and got some incredible shots. We went home Sunday, arriving just in time for our afternoon naps. Bummer getting old. Anyway, we had a time as usual.
