Well, today was a travel day. We did about 400 miles. We spent a stormy night last night in Tupelo, MS near Natchez Trace. There was quite a thunderstorm but I was so tired, I barely noticed. We hit the road about 8AM and drove all day. It was pretty boring until we hit US 65 north of Little Rock and started in to the Ozark mountains. It was a really pretty drive with rolling hills, gradually getting higher. I loved the slopes that were covered with banks of white, yellow, pink and purple wild flowers. Sorry I didn't get pictures. I wanted to stop and pick armfuls of flowers but instead we just kept driving. We finally made it in to Branson, MO. We are staying in Americas Best Campground! That's the name of it not my assessment although so far it seems pretty good. We are going to stay here tomorrow and get some rest from the road. Branson looks like an old folks Disney. Lots of music shows with OLD performers or tributes to OLD performers. There is a show that is a tribute to the DOGS OF TITANIC!! Who knew? There are lots of places to eat: super buffets, super dinner shows, super super. And of course, there is an outlet mall, though not as big as the one we have in St. Augustine. We are going to take a train ride into the mountains which I am looking forward to. We will see about the shows. More tomorrow.
