The thunder and lightning woke me at 2:18 AM. I listened for a few minutes and then reached up and closed the window beside my head.
The next thing I knew, it was nearly 7:30 and Marilyn was asking if I wanted coffee or were we going out for breakfast. I replied that we should go to “Becky Thatcher’s” for breakfast and drink our coffee there.
It was nearly 8:30 by the time we ordered our sausage (Ham for Marilyn) and eggs with whole wheat toast, and coffee.
We enjoyed our breakfast and then headed to Walmart for some needed supplies.
Back at the RV we unloaded the groceries and then began working on some chores for the day. Marilyn cleaned some cabinets, getting them ready for our summer in Colorado.
My job for the day was to re-string one of our day/night shades.
It was a four string shade and I struggled a bit getting it done. I can see why they charge 25 to 50 dollars to do that job when you have it done at a repair facility.
It is now as good as new and adjusted properly, so that is a job well done!
I then installed several small hooks for car keys, inside our little coat closet.
Once that chore was finished, we went outdoors to sit in the shade of our awning with a glass of wine.
We sat together talking about our lifestyle and how much we love it, places we still want to visit, and when we might travel in that direction.
We went back inside and had a late lunch/early dinner with BBQ ribs, baked potato and some green beans with garlic-butter and sea salt.
The early evening meal was delicious with the “Blues Hog” BBQ sauce on the ribs. I ate a small dish of Peach Sherbet for dessert.
After that fine meal we were ready to take our showers and settle down for a relaxing evening watching “Survivor”.
Tomorrow we have a rather busy day, but we will wait to tell you about that later.
We’ve had a very nice day today, which only makes us more aware that………Life is Good!
