Aunt Cheryl ready to go to work, Antelope Point

Gene, Aunt Cheryl and Cyndy took a trip to Lake Powell. They spent the week cleaning graffiti, picking up trash and making contacts for the National Park about the True Grit program. More info about the week to follow on daily entries. True G.R.I.T. stands for "Graffiti Removal and Intervention Team". It is wonderful program which we are proud to be a part of. Saturday and Sunday we spent on the Lake bringing the small boat over, cleaning and preparing the Grit to get underway on Monday. We were busy filling water, pumping sewage, and filling fuel. Aunt Cheryl drove from Phoenix to Skull Valley and took the scenic route on 89. It is a beautiful route which we recommend to anyone visiting Arizona. She then hopped in the truck with us and Cyndy drove from Skull Valley to Page. Beautiful cool weather, enjoyed looking at snow capped mountains in Flagstaff, stopped at Cameron for awesome peanut butter fudge and new hat for Gene, and enjoyed the fantastic colors of the painted desert.
