| Railside RV Park is our destination today. This is one of the gateway cities to the Grand Canyon...the largest canyon in the USA. We are only sixty miles from one of the entrances, however are not planning on visiting this time. We want to come back and spend at least a week at each end of the canyon since it is over 270 miles long. A train runs along this park that goes into the canyon every day. It would be fun just to take the ride, however, for now we will enjoy the trains sound and whistle. We noticed a vintage station wagon towing a nicely decorated trailer nearby. I asked if it was okay to take pictures. Yes. The license plate on the wagon is 'EX USMC'. He served 26 years 2 months and 22 days. He is a member of the Route 66 club and had travel the old route every year for the last eleven years. Fun. |
