Dog shows are over and we move onMay 2, 2010

| Last night we got 3 inches of rain which pretty much ruined the dog show rings, putting many of them underwater. The show start time was delayed by 1/2 hour as they moved the rings to a gravel parking area. We showed my puppy at around 11:00. He moved much better on the gravel than he did in the lumpy grass the previous days. I and many others thought he would win the variety but on the last time around he wanted to stop and not walk. There went the Best of Variety win, but he did get best of winners. Just a few feet outside the ring my puppy told me why he quit walking as he squatted and did a poop. Great timing. Left the dog show site in Decatur, IL shortly after noon. Made a short trip of about 145 miles to Remington, IN. where we spent two nights at the Caboose RV Campground. Our spot was close to the Freeway which ran above and probably 100 feet away. This is a good overnight campground but not one I would want to spend much time at because of the location and highway noise. |
