Dingle the Leprechaun - isn't he cute?

Today we headed around the coast and were intending to go up to Killarney before embarking on the Ring of Kerry. However our plans were disrupted when, due to the Rally of the Lakes which is held near Killarney every year, the road was closed beyond Kenmare. This meant we could either take a two hour detour back the way we'd come, or else avoid Killarney altogether. We decided to do this, so drove back to Sneem and on to the Ring of Kerry from there.

The Ring of Kerry is around 100kms of peninsula with interesting little towns along the way. We headed off the Ring towards Dingle where we had been told was a nice place to go and also maybe see the Dolphin called Fungi who inhabits the harbour there. Apparently to view him though you need to go out in a fishing boat, our last adventure in the Irish Sea led us to decide against that.

Dingle was a very pretty little town and we were pleased we went there. We spent the night at a place called Broigan Farm.
