It has been cold and rainy most of our stay but we managed to have fun with Don and Vicki. We haven't done much outside because of the weather. Dan and I went for a walk on the beach while the sun came out for a few hours. Don (as usual) found a few places to go for happy hour. Moby Dick's was a bit of a hole in the wall but had a shuffle board. Vicki and I beat Dan and Don and had lots of fun doing it. The second place had better food and better prices. Since it continued to rain, we decided to go bowling one afternoon. Dan and I hadn't bowled in 10 years. We all did fairly well in spite of the lane balls and the goofy shoes. We finally had a day that didn't predict rain so we decided to go for a drive along the coast. It is truly magnificent when the sun is shining. We made several stops at scenic overlooks and took pictures. We also stopped at the Sea Lion Cave. This is the largest sea cave in th world according to them. We took an elevator down about 280 feet into the cave. There was a large opening to the sea in the cave wall with lots of boulders. There were hundreds of sea lions lounging on the boulders and swimming in the ocean. Do you know the difference between a sea lion and a seal??? Sea lions have visible ears (if you know where to look) and they can tuck their back fins under them while on land which enables them to walk. Seals have to crawl because they can't tuck their back fins.
