Kay the Traveler travel blog

Today was our first day of classes. we are taking 18 credits this semester but they are separated into about 3 week cram sessions. Our first two classes are Italian and Consumer Behavior. I am excited to start learning Italian so it will be easier to communicate with the locals and find our way around. We have each class for 3 hours each day with an hour break in between for lunch.

After class today we had a group aerobics class taught by a local. She was pretty intense but it felt good to work out. The only bad thing is that after classes or any downtown activities, we have about a mile walk completely uphill to get back to our hotel, which killed most of us tonight.

We will be traveling to different countries every weekend in small groups. We started planning a few days ago and I am so excited for it to begin. Throughout the semester, we have 3 10 day breaks so that we can travel more intensively across Europe. I think these are my plans for the 3 breaks:

Break 1: Scotland & Ireland for a week and then flying back to Venice, Italy for Carnivale

Break 2: Meeting my aunt and mom in Paris for Fashion Week

Break 3: Greece, Greek Islands, and Southern Italy

We are also required to visit Barcelona, Berlin, Dachau, Florence, Prague, & Rome and we have a few other ideas as well for weekend trips.
