Well now, this is an "unscheduled" stop over. the winds kicked up too high for us to continue the days drive to Carlsbad, NM and the SKP Ranch. So we called it a good day after 53 miles and pulled into the Escapees park called Tra Park, just off I-10. A nice little oasis park we use for stopovers. So it sounds like, according to NOAA radio we'll be here for 2 days. If that's the case we'll passby Carlsbad and head straight for Roswell, NM

As a rule we don't drive when the winds get over 35, that means gusts over 40 or more and that could tip over a nice big 5'r, class A or travel trailer. Don't go any further if your gut says, YIKES! Take the next exit and find a place to put your coaches hiney or nosey into the wind. In a valley south of our home town, Reno, NV it is notorious for cross winds that'll get you tipped over quick. We've seen the results a few times, it ain't pretty having your papers, clothes and other belongings strewn all over 3 counties or more.
