After a wonderful break lying on the beach in Santa Susanna for a week we left on Sunday and drove to Andorra. It was relaxing driving on a Sunday as there were very few trucks on the road; We took a few short cuts on B roads and then went through a long tunnel about 5 1/2 kms long to arrive in Andorra; It was absolutely packed when we arrived qs all the French and Spaniards go on a Sunday to get their cheap grog; Just inside the boarder they have these huge shopping centres Threee floors packed with anything you want. Grog is very cheap but other things seemed to be the same price as anywhere else. I bought a huge 1500mls bottle of Bacardi for 6.70 Euros; We stayed the night in a camp and then left early the next day. At the boarder all the French were being serched for achohol limits but luckily they wern't interested in us. As I am the navigator I had planned out a small cross country small road to get off the main highway; When we turned off onto it we were a bit worried at first as it was an extremely steep tortous narrow road going straight up and over a high mountain, and at the bottom it had a sign saying some roads were closed due to snow; however when we got to the top there was the most fantastic 360 degree view with snow capped mountains on all sides; We then found we were in the most idyllic place up on a plateau with gentle green slopes, meadows full of widflowers and wild herbs, the sound of cow bells and lovely tiny little villages with beautiful old houses. The plateau lasted for about 25 Kms and then suddenly we were on a steep steep road going down sheer cliffs with a rugged lanscape; It was just like we had been to a beautiful magic hidden valley;

Over and out
