We just arrived in our apartment in the medi a Paris. It is very roomy; I could not imagine living like this. Everything is useful, but very compact. Our kitchen and living room take up as much space as this whole apartment, which has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room. We have a very small kitchen, with an oven, stove, a microwave, and a tiny kitchen table. There is a living room, with a couch, a TV, a table, a few chairs, and very nice windows. The windows are like mini balconies; they are 6 feet high and you can walk outside. The view is absolutely amazing; with no high-rises, you can see extremely far.
The plane ride over was not that bad. I watched a few episodes of Two and a Half Men, and a Transformers video. The only thing I had to eat was a brownie and some water. Customs in Paris was incredibly short; it took 20 minutes from the time we got off the airplane to the time we exited the airport. After, we took a van to our apartment. After settling into our apartment, we set off for lunch and to explore. We went to the Latin quarter of Paris and had lunch. I had smoked ham (proscuitto) sandwiches and some orange juice (and some wine). After, we strolled down the streets and saw the Louvre, many French government buildings, the place where Napoleon is buried, Notre Dame, and many other historic landmarks. By then, we were all dead tired, so we went to a restaurant for a break. To cap it all off, I went up the Eiffel Tower and we all came home with the Metro. We went back home, rested, and had dinner at the Le Vue D'ord. I had a steak with fries. The steak was really good, though it was quite undercooked (it was a thin steak, and it tasted amazing, so...) and the fries were very good. After, I took a few pictures of some streets and I headed home, needing some sleep badly.
