A short work day
Apr 22, 2010
|We began our day in a leisurely manner, with hot coffee and a toasted English Muffin.
A bit later in the morning, I helped Marilyn change the bedding and she did a load of laundry.
I took our spare 40# propane tank to have it filled. It cost $23.00 to fill the 40# tank.
I am thinking seriously of taking the third propane tank to Colorado with us. It may be cool at night in the mountains, and it is possible that we may run the furnace a bit more than usual for awhile.
From the Mountaindale Resort, where we will be staying, it is a drive of about 26 miles each way, to fill an empty propane tank.
I don’t want to do that very often.
Back at the RV it wasn’t long before Jennifer and the Grandkids arrived. Those two kids sure are cute!
Jennifer went to exercise while I took Colby to the playground.
He loves that new mower which makes bubbles, and Marilyn fixed another bottle of bubble solution, which worked much better.
By the time Jennifer returned, I was getting ready to go to work.
I was needed to help with a large group of young people from the St Louis area.
I had a nice group of kids who loved the stories and had a good time.
I led only one tour so it was a very short work day.
I had given Jen and the kids a hug and kiss before I left and they were gone by the time I returned.
Marilyn made a trip into town to get a new pedometer for her walks each day. She picked up a few additional items while she was at it, and soon returned to the RV.
We plan to relax this evening and simply watch “Survivor” on TV.
It will be a quiet evening spent with that person whose company I most enjoy.
