| Well, I'm now staying on Rome one more night, departing Thursday. I made my way to Rome airport today, with e-ticket in hand only to be told that my booking was not received. That's after standing in line for 1.5 hrs!!! Further enquiries made through the airline ticketing office revealed that the booking was made, then later cancelled by the same bookin agency. So much for being emailed an e-ticketFy confirming my flight with a booking confirmation number and telling me credit card has been charged. How pissed off do u think I was??? More so frustrated!!! No other flights available to Paris until tommorrow nite. So, now I can't make my connection with my flight from Paris to Berlin tommorrow arvo. I have been lucky to book another flight with air Berlin at the airport, leaving at 2pm tommorrow and flying direct to Berlin. So no france for me - unless I get time to track back later. So, jumped back onto train and travelled into Rome. Rebooked same hotel I had been staying in, only to find upon arrival that hey had overbooked and not removed the vacancies on-line. I can't win!!!! At least the owners of the hotel were good enough to find me another hotel just up the road. So right now, I'm going to find a pub and get on it. I need a drink!!!!! As per tradition, I threw a coin in the Trevi Fountain yesterday hoping that it would one day bring me back to Roma. I didn't expect it to keep me here!!!! Will add more Rome pics tommorrow. Tony |
