Hey all.

Viva La Roma!!!

I'm loving Roma. Walked to the Colosseum on sunday (ten minutes down the road) and had a guided tour. Yesterday (Monday) I had a generally quiet day sorting out possible transport to Paris. Lined up at the train station for nearly two hours only to be told that there are no available seats on trains to Northern Europe until next Monday.

Except for yesterday, the weather has been fantastic here, averaging around 25 degrees in the middle of the day. We got hit by a huge thunderstorm late yesterday (Monday) afternoon and the temperature dropped by 10 degrees in no time at all. I jumped into bed at 5pm planning to have a little kip. I woke up at 8am this morning. It's amazing what 15 hours sleep did for me. Feel great today, but boy did I need it!

Walked all around the city today and saw heaps. The Vatican, Sistine Chapel, Trevi Fountain, Paizaa Navona, The Pantheon and much more. Have uploaded a few photos for now, but need to get off the computer as there are other people still trying to find their way out of here.

I will upload more pics tommorrow.

At this stage I have managed to bookj a flight with Iberia Airlines (Spanish Airline) to Paris leaving tommorrow (Wednesday) at 5pm. All going well I will get one night in Paris then be back on schedule to head off to Berlin. Again, fingers crossed. Both Paris Airports opened today but a number of flights are yet to resume.

Loving Roma.

Tony :)
