We had to pack up everything this morning because we had to move to another site in this park. It didn't take all that long, but it was a pain just to move down the road. We liked our other site, but I think this one is going to be better since we will have shade in the afternoon. It has been downright hot here in northern Louisiana, but I am not going to complain. It's nice to have summer start in March and, hopefully, not end until December.
By the time we got all moved and set up in the new site, it was noon so there wasn't any time left for sightseeing. We decided, instead, to eat lunch and go find some diesel fuel for the truck. One of the Park Rangers told us a good place to get diesel was about four miles up I20 so that's where we headed.
While Roger was fueling up the truck, I saw a trailer in the parking lot with a Brahma bull inside. I couldn't resist trying to get his picture. It was a little scary since every time I got close enough, he started stomping his foot and I wasn't sure if that trailer was strong enough to hold him. Even though he wasn't very cooperative, I did get his picture; maybe he was mad because I didn't ask him first, LOL.
Another first for me was the casino in the same building as the gas station. Roger and I peeked inside and found it very dark and extremely smokey. I guess they have casinos everywhere in Louisiana. That sure is different from our home state of Michigan.
After fueling up the truck, we stopped at Brookshire's again and picked up a few things we forgot to buy the other day.
Then it was back to the Park to sit and soak up the sun.
While we were sitting outside, one of our neighbors came over and was full of questions about our Mobile Suites fifth wheel. He has a Cardinal but he is thinking of buying a Mobile Suites. Of course, we had to give him the grand tour and he kept saying how impressed he was with the rig. We gave him the name and phone number of our dealer so maybe we'll see him down the road some day in his new Mobile Suites.
I had put some ribs in the slow cooker this morning so we just fixed a salad and had an easy dinner.
After we ate, we took Heidi for a walk. It was slow going because all the neighbors were outside and we stopped and talked with a number of them.
It's getting late now so it's off to bed. Tomorrow we have plans to see a cotton museum and tour a pepper company.
It doesn't get any better than this..........
