| Today was again a travel day. We got another early start and are heading for Bakersfield, California and then on until we get tired. We had a really uneventful day, although we did stop at the CampingWorld in Bakersfield. Anne finally got her reclining chair complete with footrest. It was on sale from $99 down to $79 and then because it was the last one, and the floor model they discounted it a further $15. Then when we went to pay we noticed a crack in one of the plastic parts so the guy discounted it another $15. Then he sold us the extended warranty and basically told us to take the chair back to CampingWorld at the end of the trip and get a new one…Gotta like that deal. We left CampingWorld and headed to yet another Casino. This one is in Valley Center, California and one Jack&Rose have been to before. I was somewhat skeptical as the last casino Rose took us to on the previous trip was not quite in the middle of nowhere, but if you looked closely you could see it from there. After a long day of travel (and passing 3 other casino’s I might add) we made it to the casino Rose was headed for. It was dark when we arrived and the RV parking just happened to be on the side of the mountain, and you guessed it, with a ValleyView. We had to work real hard to get the RV’s level, but after unhooking the cars and maneuvering in the lot we finally did it and headed inside for prime rib buffet. |
