Tonight Val and I attended a concert by Dino Kartsonakis at the South Austin Church of the Nazarene. He had played there on Saturday night (at $15 per ticket) and then decided that he wanted to do an "encore" Monday night at no charge. He is a fantastic pianist and also is quite funny.
I took several photos but none of them turned out well because I was too far away. We had thought we were arriving early but the church was already nearly full by the time we arrived, so we had to sit pretty far back. I kept two of the shots anyway.
He has more than forty recordings and has received many accolades, including a Grammy Award for his involvement on "The Apostle" soundtrack, a Grammy nomination for "Chariots of Fire," and eight Gospel Music Association Dove Awards. He appears regularly at Branson. Here's his Web address: www.dinoplayspiano.com/
