|Made the drive from Hill AFB to the Colorado River State Park, about 19 miles inside of Colorado. Got in early enough to be able to sit outside and enjoy dinner and watch sunset. Very beautiful. After dinner we went down to the Colorado River and got the fishing lines wet. Debi, who hasn’t fished in many years, got started ok, but ended up with a nice messy “bird nest” in her reel, so spent the next hour or 2 trying to untangle it. She ended up just cutting it out and cleaning up the mess. Scott saw a couple jumpers, but no biters. Maybe next time. Scott started sorting out our sand from our panning in Idaho City. Found our first flake, not much, but still lots of sand to sort through. Watching the weather tonight and tomorrow, since Denver, about 200+ miles from us, is supposed to get hit tonight and tomorrow with a winter storm. May end up staying here one additional day.
