My new home is in Lajitas for three nights, my first return since I stuck the Winnebago in the gravel next to the river when we stopped to get a coke at the Lajitas General Store, world famous. I did get the Winne out of the gravel, but not before I ruined reverse gear. We drove back to Lubbock making sure we did not have to back up. The guy said no problem, he had insurance, but everytime we called him back for another trip, the Winne was always all ready rented?

I will return to the park for additional sightseeing tomorrow plus hike the Big Bend State Park on the drive to Presidio the following day. Today however is a rest day, planning on shopping here in Lajitas, should take 5 minutes. I understand that star gazing in this part of the world is great. Perhaps tonight I can stay up until the stars are out.
