The Frugal Travelers travel blog

Our second day on the road was a shorter trip, but still tiring. I could tell my brother was feeling very bad, but insisted on going ahead. By the second day his cough had gotten worse and he wasn’t able to sleep the night before. When he tries to lie down he can’t breathe. Sometimes when he is retaining fluids it is very hard on his heart and this may be the cause, but we don’t know for sure.

We arrived in Meridian, MS in the early afternoon. We all decided to watch some TV and just kick back. The name of this park is Benchmark Coach and RV Park. It also has all amenities, including wi-fi and cable. A very clean and well kept park. Both of the parks we are staying at, on our way, are Pass Port America camps. I often stay at these when traveling from place to place.

Charlotte jumped right in and made us some sloppy Joes, chips and some slaw. It really tasted good after a long day on the road. Charlotte is an excellent cook and loves to do it, so she was happy as a clam while cooking.

We all turned in pretty early after a little TV so we could get an early start in the morning. So far the diesel has been our biggest expense, but is still hovering between 2.89 and 3.00 a gallon.

We will reach our final destination tomorrow, so talk to you then. Stay safe. :)
