|Flew out of Delhi (and India)at 8 pm headed for Bahrain for an overnight then on to Turkey. Gulf Air paid for our Bahrain entry visas tranport to hotel, hotel, breakfast and transport back to airport. Thanks guys. Missed the Bahrain Grand Prix by 6 days (starts the 12th). We left India with a great sense of relief, it was hard in so many ways, but it was probably the most extraordinary, rewarding experience so far. There is so much depth, so many layers, such diversity and so any paradoxes (paradoxi? paradice?). We read a book by Paul Thoreau (famous travel writer) called the Elephanta Suite, 3 short stories about people visiting India and living through terrible experiences. The moral of the book was "India will change you" (profoundly I assumed). The last morning at breakfast i was stirring my tea and looked up to Nickie and said "India has changed me, I now put sugar in by tea" she said "Changed me too, I now drink tea". So...
