My work in Ohio is done. I'm headed south today with the first stop at Mammoth Cave in Kentucky. My hope was to be there in time for a late afternoon tour, but as luck would have it I only made it as far as Buckner, KY about half-way to Bowling Green. I decided to stop for some coffee and gas, and when I looked out the rear view mirror as I was tuning into the Dunkin' Donuts I could see I had a flat tire on the tow dolley. The tire was more than flat it had a big rip in the sidewall. The tire had less than 2,000 miles on it.
Emergency road service said it would take about 2 hours to get some one out to fix it since it was Saturday. I got my coffee and donuts and walked back to Winnie to wait. The guy arrived pretty quickly and we were off to the shop to with the flat to get a new tire. As soon as we got on the Interstate, the truck starts to buck and the guy says he's out of fuel. He going to have to call in and have somebody bring fuel. So much for getting to Mammoth Cave today.
