Went for a guided bird walk this a.m. and got 33 species. Herring Gull is pretty exciting down here!
Drove to Salineno this afternoon and enjoyed the sit watching the birds coming to the feeders. For those that have been there with us the “Dewinds” (the couple who lived in the motor home and fed them) have given it up however a lady from Mass. has agreed to take it over and is doing a splendid job. US Fish & Wildlife have bought the 5 acres and she is a volunteer with them.
Returned to the S.P. and viewed the infamous “Roadside Hawk”.
Learned of the disastrous choke by the Canadian Ladies Curling Team and that the men's team was 3-0 after 6 ends. God forbid a repeat of last night.
Stir fry for supper with one of the main veg. ingredients being prickly pear cactus, it was great, particularly when washed down with copious amounts of “Bud” . Shorts & Tees the dress of the day, wind was nil.
