Day Friday: We finally left Winnipeg @0550hrs - 18 hours late – ouch. Basic math during breakfast tells us Sunday arrival, because freight takes priority. We did get told the track repaired and we would be able see the carnage, so no additional delays by any re-routing. It was going to alter the schedule – not many day light hours in the rockies, but full day light in the Fraser Valley. Hmmm. Not like we have much choice.

We wuz booting across the prairies where we had lots of flat track and straight lines.

Today was our movie day. How to eat and enjoy scramble eggs, hash browns and bacon over 6 hours. Rules: laugh cheer chat during the non-verbal roles for the stars, NO talking during takes and follow your cues if you had any special action parts. Also had a couple hours where we had to pretend to talk but not look like fish.

Saskatoon was another major spot where we had time to stretch our legs, dropped off and picked up passengers. At least these new arrivals were in day light and a sane hour. Then on to Biggar and Unity. Nice to see a few old style prairie architecture. The new faces at breakfast joined us overnight with a stop in Jasper.

The movie – VCID – Voyez comment ils dansent. To be released in France next year.
