Crossing the Mississippi
Huge powerful river
| Let Mt. Vernon IL and drove south in a beautifu morning, still -6 and lots of snow. Finally at Cairo IL, as we crossed the Mississippi, the thermometer rose to +1 and the snow disappeared and, true to the predictions, temp continued to rise to + 14 by late afternoon at Arkadelphia AK where we bunked in for hopefully our last night in a Days Inn.
