| Holiday Rambler's South East Sunshine Rally, Fairgrounds, Orlando, Florida Vendors were present, we purchased new badges, a one arm purse, and our Holiday Rambler windbreakers. There were 175 Holiday Rambler owners in attendance. We were greeted by those we traveled with on the caravan in Canada and Alaska. How neat to meet up with them. We did sign up for the Holiday Rambler Low country Get-Away from July 24-31, in Savannah, Charleston, Fort Sumter, and many other points of interest. Looks like we are going to buffet our way up and down the coast. Chapter 400 Full-Timer, there were four in attendance. We might be small in number, but we are woven tightly. Ch421 MIL retirees. We won 3 day 2 night FREE camping at Ransom Road RV Park in Aransas Pass, Texas. Yeah! Dinner out They had a gentlemen going around making balloons, what an added treat. Evening entertainment, they had wonderful performers. A group of us got together and kicked back in the other room and played "pass the trash". We only played with nickles so not much was lost, oh, maybe 25 cents an evening and boy did we have a good times. You can play with as many as you can get around the table and the game is simple.....only one card. If your interested in learning how to play, let us know and we'll play a game, just for practice. The hardest thing about this game, remembering to bring your nickles. Went on a bus trip to Ybor City, Florida, which was the cigar capitol. They showed how they rolled the cigars. Pain staking process. Onto Tampa we found the manatees were staying warm around the power plant. Yes, we were freezing again, the manatees probably had the warmest place. On to Plant City, Florida, the home of the gigantic strawberry shortcake. the pictures speak for themselves. These huge shortcakes are a meal in themselves. Absolutely a must try. |
