Rosie and Ronnie's RV Adventures travel blog

We made camp at Pinos Altos a small historic mining village. Pinos Altos home to historic characters the likes of Judge Roy Bean, Billy the Kid, the Hearst family and Pat Garret. We are at over 7000 ft and smack dab on the top of the continental divide. Snow in the shadows around camp. Drove into Silver City and met some interesting people, very friendly. Stopped for gas and the owner had a very nice collection of mounts, elk to Ibex. Turns out this area appears to be a hunters dream. He sent us over to his son’s place where he has a collection of everything from fish to Mountain sheep.

Stopped at the Elks Club to see about camping and it was like we just got home from a trip, a very friendly and fun group.

Tomorrow we are going to the Gila Cliff dwellings.
