We only stayed one night in London in order to see one of Harman’s relatives and do a little shopping. We stayed at the Jumeirah Hotel near Harrods in Knightsbridge, the hotel group that built the Burj Al Arab in Dubai, the hotel that looks like a sailboat.
We had not been to Harrods since Princess Diana’s death and were touched to see that Harrod’s had been made into a shrine to Princess Diana and Dodi Al-Fayed by his father, Mohamed Al-Fayed, who owns Harrods. Virtually every entrance has some type of remembrance to them – a statue, pictures, a book to write condolences. We did not take our camera as we did not anticipate taking any pictures, but Harrod’s is certainly worth visiting for its historic value in addition to the incredible and unique shopping experience.
