We drove from Oxclose, England up through Scotland to catch the ferry over to Belfast, Ireland. The countryside is so beautiful. We were watching the series of House on the TV and yet I found my eyes constantly wondering to the window at the green rolling hills surrounding me speckled with sheep, stone fences, and cottages. The land is covered in a vibrant green that would never be seen in America especially in January. Today the sun decided to come out just as we took a stop at a tinny gas station in Scotland. We all walked over to the bay and enjoyed the view of the water so still and peaceful. The ferry was so large. We drove onto the ship along with several other cars, buses, and trucks, and then walked upstairs to the top two levels, where there were restaurants, shops, movie theaters and lots of comfy chairs. A bunch of us watched “The Proposal” and then hung out playing cards, and listening to music. We came into the same port that the Titanic was built in. Some of the cranes that helped build it are still in place today!
