| We left Milton & Doug's son Bruce's for our 1st trip in the RV along the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. We traveled a whole 98 miles to Panama City. We camped @ the Naval Activity Support Base there. They have 2 campgrounds, the main one w/white sand beaches & a satellite campground for the overflow. Of course, we were in overflow but it had full hook-ups & a laundry. Plus one of the days we were there it rained 3 inches so there was not much time for the white sand beach!! A short drive from our campground was the town Panama City Beach so we went to check it out & pick-up our AirCard @ the ATT office. This is one of those resort towns with lots of condos, both cottages & high rises. It probably was once a fun, party town but has seen better days due to age & hurricanes. It was fun exploring all the weird sites. Had lunch @ Jimmy Buffets, Marguerita Ville which is part of the rebuilding plan. In high season this place probably rocks!!! |
