The west side of Texas, and on through to Arizona, we were...

Interesting picnic table shelters in a rest area.

You follow the Rio Grande (which didn't look grand) through El Paso...

More interesting picnic shelters - pueblo style this time.

And on into Arizona...

We continued on our cross-country trip today, but noticed a lot of changes when we got going this morning, as we had driven a few hours in the dark last night before stopping. Today there were virtually no oil wells, no cotton fields, and few prickly pear, but now we are into lots of yuccas everywhere, as well as sagebrush. Trying to fit in as much as we have time for, we have detoured a bit south of the I-10 we have been travelling on and are now sitting in Tombstone, in a little RV park across the road from the OK Corral. Tomorrow, the Old West, and maybe some new frontiers!
