This resort is across a one lane bridge and is along the American river. The River side sites tend to fill up fast and do not have sewer. We spent an agonizing amount of time deciding if we were too spoiled for navy showers and could stay on the river, or we wanted full hookups. We decided on a spot next to the grass park, that was very roomy, had full hookups and we could see the river from the rear window. It turned out to be a good idea, as the river sites almost all filled up (we are in September now) and we only had a person on our passenger side, and they were not that close to us. Abby loved the ball field that was only a few steps away. I bet this park is a mess during the summer, with all the river rafters, but this was a perfect time of the year for this park. We somehow forgot to do our view from the rear pictures, so I put a couple of interesting ones in their place. After we got set up we took the bikes and rode through the Marshall Gold field state park and historic town.
On Saturday we rode some of the back roads around the park with the bikes, and then in the afternoon we went to a winery/brewery and sampled some vintage beer. It was a very relaxing weekend, and on the way out, we took pictures of our rig crossing the one lane bridge.
