Study Abroad Spring Semester 2010! travel blog

On Monday, we woke up early and walked around the town a little bit to take some pictures. We walked was able to explore a little more. On the walk back to the Villa, we stopped for groceries and pizza at one of the local grocery stores called Migros. On the way to class, Claire, Megan and I got lost! We were a panicking a little bit and were worried we were going to have to try out our bad Italian and ask for directions. Luckily, we were going the right way the entire time and were able to recognize stores and signs from going out on Saturday night.

The first day of class was nice, having Consumer Behavior from 1:30-4:30. It seems long, but its an interesting subject to me. After class, the whole group did Aerobics at a nearby high school and it was a lot of fun! It was funny to see all of the boys try and do aerobics! After aerobics, we walked from dinner and ate with new people on our trip, which was nice to meet new people and get to talk to them. After dinner, Claire and I were reading the first chapter for our homework assignment.

On Tuesday, we started our Italian class from 9-12 am, which is good because we all need to learn some of the native tongue around here, so we can get around easier and not always have to ask if the locals speak English. During our Italian class, we are learning about Lugano history and culture, which makes me appreciate the beauty of Lugano even more. We will be having Consumer Behavior again today from 1:30-4:30. It’s like having a 9-5 job, but I am here to learn (or so my parents tell me ☺).
