Camellia in bloom in front of the capital.

Florida State Capital - the old building in front of the new.

The view over part of Tallahassee

We drove into Tallahassee from Monticello, and went to the state capital area in the middle of the (small) city. The old capital building had been disintegrating slowly and was too small, so some of the newer wings were taken down and a huge new high-rise office building built behind it to take it's place. The old building was now a very well re-furbished museum with great displays. The new building behind it had a floor at the top for looking over the city.
