Monday, December 29, 2009 We arrived in DeFuniak Springs, FL at the Sunset King Campground and remembered that this was the place where I learned how to make the pine needle baskets so I was excited about collecting more longleaf line needles.

We stayed at Sunset King for 10 nights and it was so cold most of the time that I stayed in the motorhome and made another pine needle basket. Joe did get out golfing on two occasions when we first got here before it was just too cold. The coldest night here was 20 degrees and we had to leave our water drip almost every night so it would not freeze up. If the sun shined during the day, it was pleasant enough to go for a walk or bike ride but for the most part, it was down right cold. The pine needles here have a wonderful light brown color so I collect enough for a couple of baskets.
