Packed and Ready to Go
| Well, here we are packed and ready to go. Notice the new car? We really weren't planning on that, but..........our 2000 Explorer bit the dust! After readying it for the trip south, the oil pump went, and I guess that causes engine damage most of the time. We didn't want to take a chance on having vehicle trouble on the way, especially towing a boat. We found a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with only 6K miles. Like a new car. So, it's all set up for towing, and we had a few days to try it out and get used to it. We're packed with both freshwater and saltwater poles, snorkel gear, summer clothes, and high expectations! Our accommodations in FL are just beautiful--a dear friend's three-bedroom house, with a pool. Hope the weather is warm enough for those early morning or late evening swims. We're told that the neighborhood is a wonderful one for walking--which I'm looking forward to. It's been too cold for comfortable walks in Coventry. |
