Once we arrived in Phuket I was feeling slightly better, and after the hour drive to Karon beach I was almost ready for food. Our first day was quiet, I still made it out to the beach for some sun but was in bed early. It was not a very exciting day all around, but I needed to recoup for our next 2 days in Phuket. Luckily the following day I woke up feeling better and actually ate a meal . We spent the next 2 days in Phuket hanging out at the pool of our super nice hotel, which was a change from the bungalows we were accustomed to, beaching it up and shopping. After all we had Thai Baht left over so we had to spend it, and not to mention all we have for the next 7 months in Australia is a small backpack of clothing. In the end I ended up getting 8 dresses, but still wish I bought more!
We flew out of Phuket to Bangkok to catch out flight to Bali the following morning, so had an interesting experience “sleeping” at the Bangkok airport, that has flights ALL night long, so sleeping was impossible. I did not sleep a wink until we were on our flight to Bali.
Amyhoots, we were VERY depressed to leave Thailand, as we absolutely loved Thailand. Beautiful scenery & beaches, amazing food & people and soooo affordable. Next stop Bali.
