A nuclear sub being escorted to sea, how cool to see!!

Another view

Last one, a zoom of the sub taken before my camera battery...

We had another wonderful day at Fort Clinch. We spent the day with my brother and his wife, Bobby, (Bob) and Liz, and their two youngest granddaughters. We had a warm and sunny day, perfect for eating outside and a walk on the beach. We have not seen them for over two years, and enjoyed our visit very much.

Fort Clinch is located next to the Naval Submarine Base at Kings Bay. The Submarine Base is the U.S. Atlantic Fleet's home port for U.S. Navy Fleet Ballistic Missile nuclear submarines armed with Trident missile nuclear weapons. We were so excited to see one of the subs being escorted out to sea today.

I tried to get some close up pictures of the sub, but my batteries died after only a couple of pictures. I am so thankful Liz had her camera and got a lot of good shots. I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story. More later from Fort Clinch.
