Last one!

We are having some very rainy and foggy days, but are making the best of them. Today we visited the new fishing pier. It is 1/2 mile long, so it was a long walk, but a very beautiful one. Jerry spotted one dolphin and we saw a ton of birds. We are hoping for a clearing in the weather so Jerry can do some fishing.

Fort Clinch State Park has two campgrounds, one on the Amelia River, the other on the Atlantic Beach. The Amelia River campground has two hot-water restroom/shower facilities for 41 campsites in an oak hammock. The Atlantic Beach campground has one hot-water restroom/shower facility for 21 sites with a ramped boardwalk. The park also offers primitive camping and youth camping.

We are staying in the Atlantic Beach camping area. The River Camping area is also very nice, but we wanted to be right by the path to the beach. I am adding a few pictures of the River Camping area so you can see both.

This is a wonderful, back to nature park. We have already spotted quite a few deer, a bob cat, one opossum, quite a few armadillos, raccoons and tons of birds. We are enjoying it much. More later from Fort Clinch.
